We have used Madeira threads.To give the impression of furry animal coats, these designs are heavily overstitched and may buckle if not well-stabilised. Use a very firm, close weave fabric if possible.
The choice of thread colour is important. If you want to experiment with other colours or brands, bear in mind that the colours are sometimes not exactly as they are described – for instance, “pink” should be a dull greyish pink rather than a bright pink; “warm grey” is really closer to a brown than a grey, etc., etc..
A few designs have thread jumps, which should be clipped between thread changes.
